I really appreciate Bill and his lovely wife! His restaurant is his family – and it shows. When visiting here as a vendor or a guest you feel welcomed. Food always fresh and priced valuable – I would recommend Silvio’s to any of my friends, clients or family!
Since restaurants opened back up we have been here twice. It’s still amazing and we just love the food, staff and background music. Last time I finally ordered the polenta and grilled shrimp!!!! I love all things polenta but this topped them all!! As always thank you so much for the hospitality everyone at Silvio’s gives.
We had the greatest restaurant experience tonight at Silvio’s. The service was impeccable. All of the folks who came to our table were beyond friendly, attentive, and great salespeople. The food was out of this world. We got the mussels, the caprese salad, the grilled romaine salad, the shrimp & polenta and the aglio et olio pasta. We were celebrating my aunt’s birthday. The owner / chef, Bill Mellilo came out and chatted with us. He is incredible and hooked us up with the best cannoli I’ve ever had. We sat on the *new* back patio and had the greatest time together. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly to anyone. Please, if you haven’t, dine at Silvio’s!
It had been a while since we had gone out for Italian. Impressed by the reviews, I recommended to my husband that we try out this restaurant.
I ordered the Meatball Lasagna, he the Pasta with Seafood, and our friend got the Chicken Alfredo. We also had the Calamari and Rice Ball apps. You can tell their food is made with love and authentic! The chef was friendly, and came around to speak with everyone, too.
Normally, I do not order dessert when I go out to eat. I made an exception for this place because every dessert looked phenomenal! We settled on the tiramisu, but next time we go back (and there will definitely be a next time!) I want to try the cannoli, lemon cake and spumoni.
This Italian restaurant is a real gem!
This place is fantastic. The food was very authentic, fresh and delicious. Best Italian food I have had so far in Louisville. The restaurant was very clean and the service was excellent. I highly recommend.
I really love this place. Silvio and his wife are so friendly. The food is delicious. Nice big portions. The sauces are thick and delicious. We have had most things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The baked ziti and eggplant parmigiana are my favorites. The ziti is a little spicy which I like.
The lemoncello cake and Italian Cream cake is also delicious.
Silvio is a treat to visit with. You get a great shoulder rub with every meal 😉
SPENDEREI!!! This little hidden gem should not be missed! I feel like I’m apart of a big Italian family when I come in, never disappointed! You can’t go wrong with anything you order but the cheese lasagna with one of their amazing meatballs is my favorite!
What’s even better than the food (which is very hard to beat) is the service, staff and owners. It’s locally owned and I looove supporting such great people!
Wow!!! This place is amazing! Place is so good! Fair priced! I had the veal parm and it was amazing! The red sauce may be one of the best I’ve ever had, but not better than grandmas of course! If you want some good Italian food at a great price this is the place! Oh and the owners are probably the most friendly people you could meet! This will definitely be my go to spot for authentic Italian!
